Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat

Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat (EBSB) is an initiative launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 31, 2015 to promote national integration and cultural exchange between India’s states and Union territories.
Its objectives are:
Celebrating India’s unity in diversity
Strengthening emotional bonds between Indians
Promoting national integration
Showcasing India’s rich heritage and culture
Fostering a sense of common identity
Establishing long term engagements
Creating an environment that promotes learning between states
The program aims to enhance interaction and promote mutual understanding between people of different states and union territories through the concept of state and union territory pairing. States carry out activities to promote a sustained and structured cultural connect in the areas of – language learning, culture, traditions and music, tourism and cuisine, sports.
The program’s mission is to create an environment that promotes learning between states by sharing best practices and experiences.
