About KV

KV No.1, Nausenabaugh was established in 1979 by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan New Delhi, an autonomous body under the Ministry of HRD (presently Ministry of Education), Govt. of India. It was chosen as a PMSHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya in the year 2023.

The Vidyalaya is categorized as a defence sector KV. The Vidyalaya has steadily gained popularity owing to its educational leadership and the ever-increasing enrolment is a testimony to its commitment to high standards of academic excellence. The school has evolved over time adopting the emerging new trends in education to help students stay ahead of others. The Vidyalaya has 3 sections each from classes I to V to XII. The KV has well established laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Computer Science and a fully automated library. The KV also has a Jr. Science lab, a Maths lab, three Computer labs, a Language Lab, Audio Visual Rooms, Smart classes, CMP rooms and Activity Rooms.

The KV enjoys excellent facilities for games and sports. Students are trained in cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, kho-kho and other games. Facilities for indoor games such as table-tennis, chess and carom are also available. Students of our KV compete with other students at the regional and national level competitions.

A variety of scholastic and co-scholastic activities are conducted to ensure overall development of the students. Activities include Mathematics Olympiad, Green Olympiad, Cyber Olympiad, National Level Essay and Painting Competitions, Youth Parliament, Adventure Activities, Educational Tours, Social Science Exhibition, Science Exhibition, Scouting, Charity Work for Social Uplift of the poor and backward communities etc. The KV offers free education to pupils belonging to BPL category as per KVS norms and RTE Act.
